Safeguarding Commitment at CBN Hockey Club

CBN Hockey Club is dedicated to creating and maintaining a safe and positive environment for all young people involved in hockey. We accept our responsibility to help safeguard the welfare of all young people and protect them from poor practice, abuse, and bullying.

As a provider of opportunities for young people in hockey, CBN Hockey Club understands its duty of care, which means we must do everything reasonably expected of us to safeguard and protect young people from foreseeable harm.

Every individual and organisation within our Hockey Club has a role and responsibility to ensure the safety and welfare of young people.

We advise all parents, club officers, coaches, and any club volunteer or agent over the age of 18 to familiarise themselves with the following:

• Welfare Officer Role and Contact Details: Our Welfare Officer, Hannah Laverty, is available to address any concerns regarding the welfare of young members. Contact Hannah below or call her on 07855337708
• Safeguarding and Child Protection Policies: Our policies are designed to protect young people and provide clear guidelines for all members.
• DBS Clearance Process: Ensuring that all those working with young people have undergone necessary background checks.
• Safeguarding Training: Providing education and training to all involved to recognise and respond to safeguarding concerns effectively.

By adhering to these guidelines and working together, we can create a secure and supportive environment for all our young players.
